| Yvonne Parrott - Born in England, Yvonne moved to the United States in 1965
and now calls Denver, Colorado home. She has traveled extensively here and abroad,
including Europe, Australia, and Central and South America. In 1985 she moved to Northern Wyoming and it was here that Yvonne developed a love and passion for horses and wide open spaces. Always an avid outdoors woman and savvy history buff, it was a natural fit when she discovered the trill and challenge of her first Wagon Train, which was the Wyoming Centennial in 1990. Since then she has participated in four more wagon trains in Idaho, Montana and she just recently completed the 687 mile Bozeman Trail Wagon Train in 2001. When not riding the range, Yvonne also enjoys Hiking, Biking, Canoeing and Golf. |

| Kim Merchant - I graduated with a BA in Education and a MA in Special Education and Learning Disabilities from theUniversity of Northern Iowa. I have taught students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Most of my students have had learning difficulties and behavioral disorders. I spent 3 years teaching high school students with behavioral disorders and learning problems in an alternative school setting. For ten years, I worked as a special education consultant with students, parents and teachers. Some of my duties included setting up and leading team meetings, Behavioral and Psychological assessment and determining appropriate placement. I currently hold a Big Game Outfitting license in the State of Wyoming. I have packed in fishing camps and fall hunting camps in the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area of Wyoming for the last 11 years. I was raised on a farm in Iowa and our lives revolved around riding horses and driving teams. My interest in wagon trains first began when my father became the head teamster for the Iowa wagon during the 1976 bicentenial celebration. I currently live on a ranch west of Casper, Wyoming. I bought my first team of Percherons in 1998 and use them in the farming of my irrigated land. I have done portions of the California Trail, and most recently completed the reenactment of the Bozeman trail, 2001. I currently belong to an historical reenactment group and spend time traveling with my team to different sites around the country reenacting historical events of the west. My philosophy has alway been "If you can't do it on a horse or behind a horse, it isn't worth doing!!! | ![]() Kim Merchant Windriver Outfitting License # 242 |
