Day 1: Arrival and Relax
You've flown into the Casper, WY (flyer friendly) airport and driven to the remote and
beautiful Willow Creek Ranch at The-Hole-In-The-Wall. You'll meet your hosts, Gene &
Sammye Vieh and have a cool beverage and take a look around this working cattle and horse
ranch. Your lodging that evening at the lodge is rustic, quiet and after a great ranch
style dinner you'll marvel at the big Wyoming skies. You fall asleep with anticipation of
tomorrows wagon train adventure. |
|
Day 2: WAGONS HO!
These are the words you'll hear after harnessing teams, saddling horses and loading the
covered wagons. Youre off to some of the most scenic country you will EVER see.
Guaranteed! |
|
Days 3-5: The Hole in the Wall, Piney Top Camp and Cassidy
Canyon
During these days on the wagon train you will camp at canyons where you can literally see
for 150 miles. You will see the Historic Hole in the Wall area and camp where Butch
Cassidy and the Sundance kid had their famous hideout. The cornerstone of the original
cabin is still in one of the camps. The meandering creek in this camp is cool and you'll
enjoy the dip as there will be plenty of sunshine and clear skies. There is a balance
between travel on the trail and camp activities. |
|
Day 6: Covered Wagons Return to Willow Creek Ranch House
Youll take a different route back to the original circle up location. This route
follows along the famous and beautiful red wall. This spectacular scenery is breathtaking.
